They reportedly arrived in the village the night of April 4 using a trail through a forest. The youths between 13 years to 18 years are residents of Kishangunj district in India.

Rural municipality chair Ram Chhabila Raya said the boys told him that they arrived Baheda with one of their friends from Mahottari after they got stranded in Sitamadhi of India amidst the lockdown there.

They were the students at a madrassa in Uttar Pradesh of India and heading to their homes towards Kishangunj when they were caught up in the lockdown.

Now, they have been placed under home quarantine for 14 days, Raya said.
