Coronavirus death toll in Italy climbs to 16, 523



KATHMANDU: The number of death toll from coronavirus in Italy has reached 16, 523 as of Tuesday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, 636 died in the last 24hours taking the death toll from the novel virus to 16, 523.

With 3,599 new cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has surged to 132, 545 so far.

According to the reports, 93, 187 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country of which the condition of 3, 898 people is critical.

Meanwhile, 22, 837 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the COVID-19 has spread to 209 countries, 74,565 and infecting 1,345,048 as of Tuesday morning.
