BIRATNAGAR: Nine Pakistani nationals who came from Pakistan for publicity of Islamic religion have been quarantined at Sunwarshi Municipality-9.

They were kept at the quarantine in a mosque located at Muslim Tole following directions from the district authorities. All of them are over 60 years.

They couldn’t return to Pakistan after Nepal enforced a lockdown to ward off the spread of COVID-19.

Local Mahatab Alam said they had arrived at the municipality a day before the lockdown.

“We asked permission from the local administration to return them to Pakistan,” he said, “They were kept at the quarantine after our request was rejected”.

Meanwhile, 10 people from Agra, India are living in the quarantine of the mosque.
