NADIL to begin COVID-19 test in Chitwan

BHARATPUR: The National Avian Disease Investigation Laboratory (NADIL), Bharatpur of Chitwan is all set to conduct COVID-19 tests from Saturday.

Bharatpur based NADIL is going to conduct coronavirus tests, making it one of the few districts to do so outside the province headquarters in the country.

Bharatpur Hospital, currently functioning as a Corona Virus Special Hospital, is collecting and sending swab samples to Teku based Central Laboratory in Kathmandu on a daily basis till date.

A technical team from the Ministry of Health and Population visited Chitwan on Wednesday and studied about the eligibility. Before giving a green signal to NADIL, the team had visited the labs at Rampur based Agriculture and Forestry University and Bharatpur based BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.
