DPM Pokharel visits Coronavirus Crisis Management Center

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokharel has visited the Coronavirus Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) at Chhauni in the capital city on Friday.

The CCMC was established by the Nepal Army by preparing a 100-bed isolation ward and 30 ICU beds at Birendra Army Hospital, Chhauni, in the capital recently.

It will manage the treatment for those suspected with coronavirus and those found positive.

The infrastructures were set up in the premises of the hospital after the government formed the CCMC, a task force formed to implement the policy level decisions taken by a high level committee led by the DPM Pokharel.

Upon the visit, DPM Pokhrel was briefed about the ongoing progress at the CCMC. On the occasion, DPM Pokhrel directed the bodies concerned to manage the emergency services in an effective way in the critical hour.

NA Chief Purna Chandra Thapa and Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Laxman Aryal were present in the briefing.
