Complaint filed at CIAA against DPM Pokharel in medical supplies purchase

KATHMANDU: A complaint has been filed at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) against five persons including Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel.

Advocate Dinesh Tripathi lodged a complaint with the anti-graft body against DPM Pokharel, who is also a Coordinator of a High-Level Coordination Committee on the Prevention and Containment of COVID-19, Minister for Health Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Health Secretary Yadav Prasad Koirala, Director General of Department of Health Service Mahendra Shrestha and Proprietors of Omni Business Corporate International Pvt Ltd.

They have been alleged of irregularities while procuring medical equipment from China.
