KATHMANDU: The British government is evacuating its citizens from Nepal soon.

British Ambassador to Nepal, Nicola Pollitt, writes on her Twitter account that the Embassy in Kathmandu is currently holding talks with the government in London and airline companies to repatriate the British citizens back to England.

The Embassy has not yet mentioned a date of the flight. Ambassador Pollitt has maintained that those people willing to go back to their country will have to pay for their ticket.

Like other countries, including the United States, Germany and France, the Britain has also decided to evacuate its citizens from Nepal.

The government of Nepal has enforced a lockdown in the country in a bid to control the spread of coronavirus infection. It has also suspended all international flights.
