14 tourists including one Nepali rescued from Lukla

KATHMANDU: Fourteen tourists including one Nepali stranded in Lukla have been rescued.

They were airlifted to Kathmandu from Lukla in a Nepal Airlines aircraft on Monday morning.

According to Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) the NA aircraft with 14 tourists on board landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 7:45 am.

NTB informed that all the airlifted have been taken to a Thamel-based hotel after rescue.

According to NTB, there are still some tourists stranded in Lukla said NTB NA is scheduled to conduct some flights to rescue them today itself.
