Coronavirus-infected patients at Teku Hospital in good health condition

78 fellow passengers who traveled with infected girl in quarantine



KATHMANDU: Two coronavirus -infected patients undergoing treatment in the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital are in good health now.

In a press conference organized on Friday, the Ministry of Health and Population informed to that end.

A young girl of 19 years and a 32 years old man are undergoing coronavirus treatment at the hospital.

The young girl had come from France via Qatar on March 17 whereas the man had come from Dubai on March 19.

Young girl’s 78 fellow travelers in quarantine

Some 78 fellow passengers who had traveled with the infected girl in QR 652 flight from Doha on March 17 are in the quarantines of 48 districts.

According to Umesh Raj Joshi, Joint Spokesperson of Nepal Police, 78 fellow passengers of the young girl are sent to quarantine whereas the police are still locating the rest of the passengers.

There were 158 passengers on board in QR 652, the young girl traveled on March 17.

However, the officials are more worried about the possibility of transmission from the man who came to Kathmandu in Air Arabia’s flight on March 19 as he had given a party in Kathmandu.

His fellow passengers are still in police haunt as they might be transmitting coronavirus to many people who have into their contact.
