Thundershowers forecast for tonight



KATMANDU: Thundershowers are forecast at a few places of the hilly regions and at one or two places of the Terai region today.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and partly cloudy in the rest of the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

Brief rain is likely to occur at a few places in the hilly region and at one or two places of the Terai region this afternoon due to the influence of local winds, according to meteorologist Manju Basi.

Similarly, tonight brief rain or thundershowers have been forecast at one or two places of the eastern and central regions. There will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and partly cloudy in the rest of the country.

Similarly, on Sunday, there are chances of light rainfall with partly to generally cloudy in the eastern, central and western hilly regions. On Monday, there will be partly cloudy across the country and chances remain for brief rain/thundershowers at some places of the hilly regions.

Nepal faces a partial impact of Westerly wind and the influence of local winds at present.

The Division stated about this in its weather bulletin for the next three days. The Division has urged people of those regions where thundershowers have been forecast to remain alert so as to avoid possible consequences of thundershowers.
According to the latest weather updates, the Kathmandu Valley’s minimum temperature was measured at 8.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was 24.6 degrees Celsius today.
