Indian nat’l held with 150 grams hashish

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has arrested an Indian national with 150 grams of hashish.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati caught 40-year-old Anwar Ali Ansari with the illegal drug from a hotel based at Kalanki on Tuesday.

Ansari was apprehended in possession of the drug which was concealed in a bag, said DSP Rugam Kunwar.

Kunwar said they are investigating the case after taking Ansari into custody.

Preparations are underway to file a case against Ansari under the Narcotic Drugs Act 1976 after taking a judicial remand from Kathmandu District Court, said Kunwar.
