FARO: Some 60 Nepalis, employed in the ‘agricultural sector, close to Faro’, in Portugal have been quarantined at a sports pavilion of a school after six have shown symptoms associated with the coronavirus.

The move comes after one of the workers tested positive.

The Nepali worker is currently treated in a Faro hospital.

His colleagues have been kept at the sports pavilion of Escola EB 2/3 de António, and are currently receiving monitoring by health workers and borders control agencies.

According to Faro Mayor Rogério Bacalhau, moves are now underway to work out logistics of the people grouped in a room for 14-days.

The group of the people has been reported to have been 74 in number. However, a few of them have been released, according to SIC.

Some were released after being established that they had had no contact with the infected workers, according to reports.
