2,000 Nepali migrant workers quarantined in Qatar

KATHMANDU: The Qatar government has quarantined almost 4,000 migrant workers in a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

According to media reports, 2,000 among those undergoing quarantine are Nepali nationals, who were working in four coronavirus-prove companies in the country.

The industrial area based in Sanaya has been chosen as the isolation camp for the migrant workers in Qatar.

They have been undergoing quarantine since last Thursday.

A total of 337 people have been infected with the novel virus so far, according to Qatari media.
