TEHRAN: Iran’s death toll from coronavirus has reached 724, international media reports have said, with 113 new deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to an Iranian health official’s tweet, around 13,938 people have been infected across the country so far.

Alireza Vahabzadeh, an adviser to Iran’s health minister, confirmed that some 1,209 new cases have been confirmed in the past  24 hours with 113 deaths.

According to him, the death toll in the country has reached 724.
