JANAKPUR: The Mithila Theatre Art Council is to observe this year’s Holi festival by spreading awareness against coronavirus or COVID-19.

An awareness program will be organized to spread the message on the ways to save oneself from the virus and flowers will be used instead of colored powder for the festival, said the Council chair Parmesh Jha.

An interaction will also be organized on the Holi festival while various competitive events will be held including a Holi song contest. The best participants will be awarded.

The festival is being observed with caution considering the directive of the local administration to not carry out any activity that involves large gathering of people, Jha said.
