Snowfall in high hilly areas of Baitadi

BAITADI: The sudden change in the climate since Thursday has led to snowfall in the high altitude areas of Baitadi. Snowfall took place this morning in Khodpe, Sribhawar, Garje and other upper parts of the district.

The snowfall was preceded by continuous rainfall leading to a sudden dip in the temperature. As a result daily life has become difficult, said local resident of Patan municipality-8, Mohan Singh Aiyer. Locals, as a result, have been forced to stay indoors.

The rainfall and snowfall have also affected the wheat crops in the district.
