49 injured in separate road accidents



BANEPA: Forty-four people were injured when a bus met with an accident at Dhantkharka of Chaunrideurali-5 in Kavrepalanchowk on Wednesday.

The bus — Ba 4 Kha 7102 — en route to Kathmandu from Guranse in Ramechhap fell some 50 meters down from the road.

The Area Police Office’s police inspector Pawan Kumar Jha confirmed the incident.

Six, among the injured, are said to be critical.

The injured have been sent to the Dhulikhel Hospital, according to the police. The driver is on the run.

Meanwhile, in Baitidi, five people were injured in a bus accident at Nwali -5 of Dogadakedar rural municipality-5 along the Mahakali Highway.

The bus — Na 5 Kha 5142 — en route to Ganna from Mahendranagar was carrying 40 passengers when it met with the accident.

The bus fell into a drain as the driver lost control of it. Driver Deepak Bohara is under police control.
