Will return with added energy, self-confidence: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed the confidence that he would return to work with more energy and self-confidence, after his kidney transplant.

“I will not disappear by leaving the dreams that are slowly growing up stranded in the middle,” he said in a video message before heading to the hospital for a kidney re-transplantation.

“Like a good athlete who does not leave the game in between, I will also not leave our dreams of prosperity in the middle. Nobody in this world is eternal and this determination of mine is not to become eternal either but to realize our dreams that are slowly taking shape,” PM Oli said.

“I would like to reassure you all about my health condition,” the Prime Minister said.

Stating that he has dedicated his life so far to the fight against autocracy and for the cause of democracy, he said his struggle has also been against complications in his own body.

The Prime Minister also expressed happiness and pride over being able to carry out his second kidney transplant inside the country itself with the help of experienced medical personnel.

“I will return after a few days of stay in the hospital and rest at home with more energy and self-confidence to realize our aspiration of prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis,” the PM said.

He added that the necessary mechanism has been readied to carry out daily administrative works of the government during his stay at the hospital for a kidney re-transplantation.

The Prime Minister has been admitted to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) this evening for kidney re-transplantation scheduled for Wednesday.
