Youth who hurled shoe at Dahal remanded to 7 days in custody



KATHMANDU: Ratan Tiruwa who hurled a shoe at Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been remanded to seven days in custody.

SSP Uttamraj Subedi at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu said that he was remanded to custody in an indecent behavior case.

Tiruwa had hurled a shoe at Dahal at Rastriya Sabha Griha while he was coming back to his seat after giving his speech at a program.

The shoe, however, did not hit Dahal. Police had then arrested the youth.
