BHAKTAPUR: The ‘Heritage March 2020’ is going to be held for the first time in Madhyapurthimi in a bid to developing the area as the domestic and foreign tourism destination.

Osla Nepal with the support of Madhyapurthimi Municipality and collaboration of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is organizing the march from March 14 under the slogan ‘Our Heritages, Our Recognition’.

Madhyapurthimi Municipality Mayor Madan Sundar Shrestha said that the rally will help to identify the best heritages and tourism destinations inside the municipality.

The March, he informed, would start from Shankhadhar Chowk and conclude at the Nilbarahi Temple after visiting different heritages such as Bishnubir, Tachhatole, Balkumari, Lachhitole, Bamunetole, Lokeshwor Temple, Kalika Temple, Mahalaxmi, Khansi Barahi Debu and Tigani.

He claimed that the heritage march would help to attract domestic and foreign tourists in the municipality.

Mayor Shrestha also urged the government to enlist Madhyapurthimi as a tourism destination.
