ICC World Cup League 2: Nepal looking for pleasant ending in home ground

KATHMANDU: The triangular series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League is concluding today. Nepal and the US are taking on in the final tournament of the series.

Meanwhile, Nepal has won the toss and elected to field at the tri-series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League 2 underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday.

Nepal has begun fantastically taking the wicket in the second over.

America wants to register a win by defeating Nepal as it has not won any matches in the ongoing tournament.

Nepal is looking for making a pleasant ending in its home ground. Nepali cricket team, which started league-2 in its home ground, has failed to elate its audience with the performance.

So, Nepali cricket players will pay attention to make a breakthrough in the tournament with the US today. Though Nepal became helpless before Oman, it seems enthusiastic to show up winning performance in the tournament with US in triangular series.

Nepal is prevailing over the US in the series.

The US has lost the opportunity to reach to the top position after it lost two tournaments to Oman. The US has so far retained the second position in the league after gathering 12 points with six wins and five defeats out of 11 matches.

Nepal has so far made one win and two defeats in three of the tournaments it has played. Nepal has lost two tournaments with Oman. With this Nepal has gathered only two points in the series.

Earlier, Nepal had registered a win by defeating America by 35 runs in the tri-series held on Saturday.

Oman tops the points table as it has won all the matches in the ongoing tournament.
