Two Nepali youths stranded in Ghana



KATHMANDU: Two Nepali people who went to work in an oil company in Ghana, Africa one month ago have been stranded without legal documents.

They had left for Africa one month ago by paying Rs 1.2 million via Sunrise Manpower Company based in Gaushala.

The manpower company had sent them to Ghana assuring them that an American Oil Company Arcomet will recruit them for US $1570 per month in salary. According to the victim, they had given the money to manpower agent Amar Pandey.

They have knocked the door of Non Resident Nepali Association, Ghana for help.

NRN Ghana Chairman Roshan Shrestha informed that  Resham Shrestha, 31, of Sindhupalchowk and Suman Bhandari, 32, of Morang have been stranded in Ghana without documents.

Chairman Shrestha has already informed the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and other concerned bodies for the rescue of the Nepali migrant workers.
