Indian national arrested in Nepal for gold smuggling

BIRATNAGAR: Morang Police has arrested an Indian national on the charge of his alleged involvement in gold smuggling.

Chandan Bhaumik, 62, of Katihar in the Indian State of Bihar was arrested from near Biratnagar Customs Office with two gold bangles on Tuesday.

Bhaumik was heading to India from Nepal with the bangles, DSP Min Bahadur Rai said.
