Ex-CDO Rijal dragged to court for graft

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed a graft case against the then Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dolakha Khagendra Prasad Rijal.

The anti-graft body filed the case against Rijal at the Special Court in Kathmandu demanding a fine of Rs 621,100, according to CIAA Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Koirala.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had suspended CDO Rijal after he was accused of graft.

Rijal has been accused of receiving bribe money from service seekers.
