Gautam appointed the NCP Vice Chairman

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NC) Secretariat member Bam Dev Gautam has been appointed the vice-chairman of the party.

Gautam has been appointed the vice-chairman after the central committee endorsed the statute amendment proposal and the organizational report presented by the party’s General Secretary Bishnu Paudel on Sunday.

The NCP’s Standing Committee meeting on December 22 had decided to appoint Gautam the party vice-chairman.

It should be recalled that NCP Chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal on August 6 had proposed to make Gautam the vice-chairman.

Meanwhile, the party’s ongoing central committee (CC) meeting unanimously endorsed the political report presented by chairman duo KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The CC unanimously endorsed after Chairman Dahal answered the questions raised about the report by central members, Prime Minister’s press advisor Surya Thapa said.
