Three killed in Sarlahi road accidents

SARLAHI: Three people have died and one injured in separate road accidents that took place in Sarlahi.

Two people died when a motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Mohan Chowk in ward no. 7 of Gaudaita municipality.

Upendra Shah,20, of Malangwa-2 died on the spot while pillion rider Rajendra Yadav,20, of the same locality, died during treatment at Malangwa district hospital, police spokesperson Pratit Singh Rathour said.

The accident took place last night and police are looking for the runaway vehicle.

Meanwhile, an elderly woman died after being hit by a motorcycle, Na. 19 Pa. 2160, at Ranigunj of Lalbandi municipality-16, Sarlahi.

Joka Kumari Thapa, 70, of the same locality died in the incident, police said.

Seriously injured, Thapa died during treatment at the Lalbandi health care center, area police office, Lalbandi said.
