KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a case at the Special Court against a government official on the charge of taking bribe from a service seeker.

The anti-graft body lodged a case against non-gazetted official Netra Bahadur Chaudhary of Land Revenue Office of Nawalparasi East on Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, a CIAA team deployed from Butwal had caught him red-handed with Rs 40,000 bribe.
