Newly-appointed NTB CEO Regmi assumes office



KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board, Dr. Dhananjaya Regmi, has assumed office at NTB Secretariat on Thursday.

On the occasion, CEO Regmi expressed commitment to carry out activities to show visible results by making NTB services and activities smooth and effective.

He mentioned that activities related to tourism promotion would be accelerated by making a partnership with the private sector wider.

A meeting of the executive committee of the Board held on January 28 had appointed Regmi to the post. The term of CEO would be for four years.

Regmi is an eminent environmental activist in Nepal and has obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental Earth Science.

He is an Assistant Professor at the Central Department of Geography and Environment, Tribhuvan University. Regmi is also the chairperson of Nepal Geographical Society and Himalayan Research Expedition and Himalayan Research Centre.
