MCC will serve Nepal’s interests: NC leader Dr. Mahat

KASKI: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has argued in favor of accepting foreign aid and assistance to address the nation’s needs and interest. Speaking at a program in Kaski today, he claimed the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MMC), the assistance proposed by the US for Nepal, will serve Nepal’s interests.

“That’s why NC has been supporting it,” he said adding, “The concern is how Nepal will be able to secure the nation’s necessities and interest from the bilateral relations,”

Nepal’s concern should be to study the nature of our bilateral relations with other countries.

He also alleged that the national assets were being handed to the ‘Yeti Group’ one after another in a nontransparent way.
