Capital witnessing rain since early morning



KATHMANDU: Rain is occurring in the capital city Kathmandu sine early Friday morning. Commuters especially those walking on foot are affected. Motorcyclists and pedestrians are seen wearing raincoats and holding umbrellas.

The temperature in the capital is 8.8 degree Celsius this morning. The met office has forecast light to moderate rain at many places in the country with chances of moderate snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region and heavy snowfall at a few places of the central and western high mountainous regions today.

The westerly wind had entered the western part of Nepal from Wednesday night and now has reached throughout the country.

Likewise, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain is possible at some places in the country with chances of light to moderate snowfall at some places of the high mountainous region, according to meteorological forecasting division (MFD).

MFD has forecast snowfall and rains in the high-hilly and mountainous regions until Saturday.
