Tanker knocks down pedestrian



CHITWAN: A tanker knocked down a pedestrian in Chitwan last night. The oil-laden tanker (Na 7 Kha 8141) en route to Narayangarh from Hetauda had knocked the pedestrian at Kharahani municipality-1, Tarkarichowk.

A 25-year-old youth, who was critically injured in the accident, died while being treated at Bharatpur Hospital, informed the District Police Office.

The deceased is yet to be identified and the dead body has been kept at the mortuary of Bharatpur District Hospital. Police took control of the tanker and its driver for further investigation and action.
