Week-long Fifth National Yoga Day kicks off



KATHMANDU: The Fifth National Yoga Day has started across the country with the slogan ‘National Unity, Relevance of Yoga from Wednesday.

The Yoga Day is being observed in all the 77 districts and institutes affiliated to Ayurveda by organizing various programs today. It will last until January 21.

Yoga keeps us healthy and fit. Hence, its relevance is ever growing at a time when people are accustomed to unhealthy lifestyle in the present-day world.

In this context a physical exercise is important to keep ourselves free from obesity and other various kinds of disease,  yoga experts say.

Earlier, a cabinet meeting had decided to celebrate a week-long the Fifth National Yoga Day starting today.
