North Korean mother faces action for saving kids instead of Kim portraits

KATHMANDU: In a height of atrocity, a case has been filed against a North Korean mother for saving her two daughters instead of photos of Kim Jong Un and his families from her burning house.

The mother somehow took her daughters out of the burning house but could not save the photos of Kim Jong Un and his families which had been pasted on the house wall.

The Ministry of State Security is investigating the case and if she is found guilty, she will have to face a jail-term.

The incident had taken place at the Onsong County in Hamgyong Province bordering China recently. The parents were away living the kids behind in the house when it caught fire suddenly.

When they saw black smoke swirling above the house, they rushed to their house to rescue their children. Fortunately, they were able to save their two daughters but could not save the photos of North Korean leaders despite attempts to do so. They were gutted in the fire.

Every North Korean family has to keep photos of former North Korean leaders Kim-Il Sung and Kim Jong-il in their houses.

According to Daily NK, a North Korean news portal, the mother cannot admit her children at a hospital nor can she buy antibiotics for them until the investigation is over.
