KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Berlin hosted an inauguration program of the Visit Nepal 2020 in Berlin, Germany.

The event was jointly inaugurated by Markus Potzel, Commissioner for South Asia of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Ramesh Prasad Khanal, Ambassador of Nepal to Germany, among others.

Ambassador Khanal gave an overview of the objectives of the Government of Nepal to announce and organize the Visit Nepal 2020.

Khanal expressed the hope that with sustained efforts to be made by stakeholders, Nepal will be able to achieve the goals of receiving two million tourists in 2020.

On the occasion, he also urged German friends of Nepal, officials, and members of the Nepali community to help propagate Nepali tourism products such as adventure tourism, eco-tourism, mountain tourism, and cultural and historical tourism.

Likewise, Chief Guest Potzel appreciated the efforts being made by Nepal and Nepali people to consolidate the socio-economic development of the country through the promotion of the tourism sector.
