Sajha Party demands withdrawal of IT Bill

KATHMANDU: Sajha Party on Wednesday demanded the government to withdraw the Information Technology (IT) Bill and to rectify the errors in the Bill.

Issuing a statement today, the party said that the people will be compelled to stop using social media if the parliament approved the Bill.

The party has said that Bill infringes on the constitutionally-guaranteed freedom of expression.

The government seems to be ignorant of the people’s voices and protests by not withdrawing the Bill, the statement said.
