Light snowfall predicted

KATHMANDU: Light snowfall has been predicted at the high-hilly and mountainous region in the western part of Nepal on Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The Division has predicted a possibility of snowfall due to the westerly low-pressure system active above Jammu-Kashmir. The system is entering Nepal’s western part from the eastern part.

The westerly low-pressure system is likely to become more active till Wednesday evening increasing the possibility of snowfall in high-hill and mountainous areas of the central and eastern regions, according to meteorologist Shanti Kandel.

Kandel said that the sky on Wednesday and Thursday would remain cloudy.
