Over 2,000 cargo trucks stuck in India enter Nepal



BIRATNAGAR: Over 2,000 cargo trucks stranded on the Nepal-India border have started entering into Nepal.

The container vans started coming into Nepal after the Mirgunj bridge located near Biratnagar Custom Office came into operation.

The Indian government had halted the vehicular transport through the Mirgunj bridge citing its repair since December 29.

According to Maniram Paudel, Information Officer at Biratnagar Custom Office, the bridge will come into operation until January 9 and will remain closed until January 20 for the maintenance again.
