KATHMANDU: Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kulman Ghising and ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit have requested all not to be an obstacle for development.
Saying that the country is heading on a path of development, they opined that all should be united to complete the big projects underway in the country.
The duo said so after being honored with the ‘Hem Bahadur Malla Honor’ ceremony organized by Salt Trading Corporation and Nepal Janaprasasan Sangh on Friday.
Chief Guest Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun had honored Ghising and Ruit with the award. The award carries a purse of Rs 200,000.
After receiving the award, Ghising said that the country has become load-shedding free due to the effective management of 12,000 employees at the power authority.
Also speaking, Ruit said that he was proud of being treating patients of developed countries.
Hem Bahadur Malla, who entered in the Salt Trading Corporation in 1963 as a manager, worked in various capacities, ensuring the overhaul of the organization before retiring as the General-Manager. He passed away on October 28, 2000. Malla is regarded as a ‘role model’ administrator in the organization.
