President Bhandari stresses on expansion of Nepal’s foreign relations



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has emphasized the need for further expanding Nepal’s diplomatic ties with its neighbors keeping national interest at the center.

Addressing the ‘senior former ambassadors felicitation ceremony’ organized by the Association of Former Ambassadors of Nepal at the Rastrapati Bhawan in Shital Niwas on Wednesday, President Bhandari said stressed further strengthening Nepal’s foreign relations by bearing its geopolitics and aspiration for economic development in mind.

She said, “The core value of Nepal’s foreign policy is friendship with all, and we cherish the goal of connecting the world with the bond of friendship.”

President Bhandari said that the State would acknowledge the role and contribution of former ambassadors in promoting the nation’s pride and prestige through means of diplomacy.
