KATHMANDU: Former President of Non Resident Nepali Association (NRN) Jiba Lamichhane has advised the Nepal government to receive US$ 500 million in financial assistance pledged by Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Posting a status on social networking sites on Wednesday, Lamichhane said that the Nepal government should receive the grant assistance to be given by MCC without any hesitation.

Lamichhane further said that it is an opportunity for the Nepal government which will not come repeatedly.
America had introduced a ‘European Recovery Program’ to improve the economic condition of the continent following the Second World War.

America had pledged US$ 12 billion for the restructuring and renovation of the devastated infrastructures in the European continent, writes Lamichhane.
