KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is underway at the party central office at Dhumbarahi.
The meeting is discussing the political reports presented by the party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday.
Standing Committee members will put forth their opinion on the political report and other topics in today’s meeting, party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said.
Dahal, in his report, had emphasized on making the works of the party and the government more effective.
His report also includes topics such as the strengthening party unity, assessment of the national and international situation, evaluation of the government’s works and the by-election, approval of the decisions made earlier by the party secretariat and the party’s future action plan.
Likewise, the agenda of the standing committee meeting also includes amending the party statute, Nepal-India border issue, and the upcoming central committee meeting, among others.
