Nepal Army to support govt’s VNY 2020 campaign



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army (NA) has said it will organize nine programs to promote the government’s ambitious campaign of Visit Nepal Year 2020 by bringing in two million tourists.

The NA will host several programs to support the government’s campaign, according to colonel Subas Thapa.

Thapa said that the NA will host the Everest expedition, as well as clearing campaign, mountain trekking, jungle safari, peace seminar, Nepal marathon, unification rally, and activities like, run for fun, paragliding event, race to Ligligkot, among others.

Likewise, the NA said the construction works for the Kathmandu-Terai fast track project will be over by May 2024.
