13th SAG seventh day: Athletes competing for 18 events today



KATHMANDU:  The competition is taking place for different 18 events on the seventh day of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) on Saturday.

Today’s events include archery, athletics, basketball, football,cricket, handball, kabaddhi, cycling, swimming, shooting, judo, tennis, weightlifting, squash, wrestling, boxing, fencing and beach volleyball.

Of them, badminton, women’s cricket, wrestling, beach volleyball, archery and handball are taking place in Pokhara, wrestling in Janakpur while the rest will be held in Kathmandu.

India has taken the lead with 93 gold medals followed by Nepal with 41 gold medals since Friday.
