KATHMANDU: Prime Minister K P Oli has been discharged from the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre on Thursday afternoon after ten days of his admission.

The prime minister was discharged at around 3:30 pm due to his request despite the doctors’ unwillingness. He reached his official residence in Baluwatar after being discharged from the hospital.

PM Oli, who had gone to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on November 26 for a checkup, underwent an operation for appendicitis the same day after he needed an immediate operation. PM Oli also underwent dialysis for his kidney.

Earlier on Wednesday, issuing a statement, the Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre had said that Prime Minister Oli has shown remarkable improvements in his health after appendicitis surgery.

Meanwhile, President Bidya Devi Bhandari reached the hospital this afternoon and took stock of the prime minister’s health condition.
