SAG 2019: Nepal bags 4 gold medals



KATHMANDU: Nepal bagged four gold medals in the ongoing 13th South Asain Games (SAG) held in Kathmandu.

Similarly, a team of Nirmala Tamang, Saru Karki, and Ranjita Malla bagged a gold medal. Nepal scored 24.88 points while Pakistan bagged silver medal scoring 23.3 points.

Likewise, Kamal Shrestha won a gold medal in the Taekwondo tournament.

Likewise, Karate player Mande Kaji Shrestha won the gold medal in the Karate Single Kata tournament.

He defeated Pakistani player Niyamtullaha in the final match. He scored 24 points against 22.8 points obtained by Niyamtullaha.

Similarly, Sony Gurung won the gold medal in the Triathlon tournament held at Lakeside, Pokhara.

Meanwhile, Karate player Chanchala Danuwar won the silver medal in the Karate event.

So far, Nepal has bagged four medals in the multi-sports event.
