Over 20 million worth of ‘Apple AirPods’ seized



KATHMANDU: The Armed Police today seized about Rs 24 million worth of ‘Apple AirPods’ (wireless earphones made by Apple Inc.) from Sonama Rural Municipality-6, Mahottari.

A total of 1,200 AirPods being illegally brought into Nepal were jointly seized by Armed Police Force Nepal No. 9 Battalion Mahottari, Border Security Post Raghunathpur, and Border Outpost Khairawani.

The person carrying the items fled as soon as the armed patrol team spotted him, informed APF deputy spokesperson Shailendra Thapa. The seized items are being prepared to be handed over to the concerned authorities.
