Woman’s body recovered from Bagmati River after jumping into Dhobikhola



KATHMANDU: The body of a woman who reportedly jumped into the Dhobikhola in Kathmandu has been recovered from the Bagmati River.

A team deployed from the Armed Police Force’s Riot Control Regiment in Kirtipur retrieved the body from the Bagmati River near Balkhu Kumari Club area of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14.

According to Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, a search operation was launched by Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force after receiving information that a woman had jumped into the Dhobikhola area between Kalopul and Ratopul.

SP Bhattarai said the identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
