POKHARA: Candidates of various political parties vying in the November 30 by-election are busy in door-to-door campaigning.

Contenders of Kaski constituency no 2 for the House of Representatives (HoR) have stepped up their election campaigns.

They have also reached out to the elderly voters in their constituency to seek their blessings and inquiring about their expectations.

An elderly voter 98-year-old Trilochana Acharya of Mahakali Chowk has been giving her advice to the contestants urging them to work for the greater good of the people and the country.

She offered tika to Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Khemraj Poudel and blessed him to win the election to serve the people and the nation.

The post of HoR in Kaski constituency-2 has been lying vacant after the demise of the then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari on February 27 this year.

Adhikari’s spouse is also one of the candidates contesting from the constituency in the upcoming by-election to be held in November this year representing the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
