SALYAN: Discarding the dream post of a mediocre politician, Dinesh Kumar Budha Magar, the Chairperson of Ward No.4, of Siddhakumakh Rural Municipality, Salyan has taken to teaching lately.

Budhamagar has resigned from the post of Ward Chair and joined the teaching profession making himself a primary school in Mustang.

An elected representative from Nepali Congress, Budhamagar had appeared in the Teachers’ Service Commission exam as a candidate for the post of Primary Teacher.

Before joining teaching, he was declared a winner through a lottery as he and NCP candidate Devendra Roka had secured 321 votes in the 2017 local election. Budhamagar has decided to work in Mustang.

” As a Chairperson is sans power and sans facilities, there is no chance for him to work as per people’s expectation,” explains Budhamagar his cause for the resignation and further says,” in such situation, instead of sticking to the post, I thought it better to vacate the seat and work to lead children ahead with better education.”

Budhamagar has no plan to come back to politics, as he wants to spend the rest of the time-sharing knowledge and making quality education accessible to all.

Earlier, he had gone to the rural municipality office on Wednesday to resign from his post. “Coincidentally,” said Chitra Bahadur Chalaune, the Rural Municipality chairperson, “The day had been a day for a village council meeting and the council meeting approved his resignation on the same day and appointed Bir Bahadur Khadka the eldest member as the acting chairperson the ward.”
