Gold price drops by Rs 5,100 per tola, extends weekly decline



KATHMANDU: The price of gold fell by Rs 5,100 per tola on Thursday, continuing its downward trend in the domestic market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 286,700 per tola, down from Rs 291,800 per tola on Wednesday.

The latest decline means gold prices have dropped by Rs 15,200 per tola in just two trading days. On Tuesday, gold was traded at Rs 301,900 per tola.

Over the past week, gold prices have fallen by Rs 24,400 per tola.

Meanwhile, silver prices also declined on Thursday. The price of silver dropped by Rs 90 per tola to Rs 4,650, down from Rs 4,740 on the previous trading day.

Silver had been traded at Rs 4,925 per tola on Tuesday, reflecting a continued decline in the market.
